Onboard minikube cluster in Azure Arc

In this post, i will talk about how to connect minikube cluster with Azure Arc.

Pre-requirements
1.
Azure Account (Free trial will also work)
2. minikube cluster up and running
3. AZ cli is installed on system
4. kubeconfig file is present
5. helm3 is installed
6. Add az extension connectedk8s

Steps to perform on Azure Portal
1.
Login to azure portal and search for “Kubernetes — Azure Arc”
2. Click on Register a cluster
3. Read the pre-reqs, they are same as mentioned in pre-req section above

4. Click Next and fill the detail as mentioned in below screenshot

5. Click Next and add tags

optional, but good to add tags

6. Follow below steps and wait for sometime before your cluster will showup on azure portal

7. Click Next after few mins and it will verify the cluster. This may take several minits.

8. Now your cluster is connect, Click on Go To Cluster

Now minikube cluster is connected with Azure Arc.

This will also deploy resources on minikube cluster to ensure the portal data is up to date.
